We have been asked to remind drivers travelling through residential areas at night or the early hours to refrain from using engine brakes where these are not required.
SH 1 Brynderwyn to Waipu (map view)
Due to major works at large slip sites over the Brynderwyn Hills, this section of SH1 is fully closed (24/7) in both directions until the end of June (date to be confirmed). These works are subject to weather and other factors.
